GDPR- and EU-AI-Act-compliant AI platform
Hosting and infrastructure
Secure EU hosting as standard
Data security should not be a luxury. We process your data in compliance with the GDPR and exclusively in EU data centers with standard certifications (e.g., ISO 27001).
On-premises and private cloud
We would be happy to inform you about our security standards in a personal meeting and explain how you can operate our AI platform in the data center if required.
Further security features of the Kauz.ai platform
Additional encryption methods
On request, we use additional procedures, e.g. Confidential computing with edgeless systems.
FAQ
Kauz.ai offers flexible hosting options for the secure operation of AI assistants and chatbots. The platform is operated in compliance with the GDPR on European servers – including the Microsoft Azure Cloud and the Hetzner Cloud. For businesses with specific requirements, an on-premises option is also available in their own data centre. As a German company, we attach the utmost importance to data protection and data security.
Kauz enables the secure operation of AI solutions with a high degree of data sovereignty. Even when using external AI models, data is processed exclusively in European data centres and under strict security measures. For maximum control, private LLMs can be deployed and operated in dedicated German data centres or, if desired, directly within the customer’s own infrastructure.
We work with certified hosting and technology partners to ensure high standards of security and data protection. Our applications run on infrastructures such as Microsoft Azure and Hetzner, which are certified to standards including ISO 27001, ISO 27017, ISO 27018, ISO 42001, SOC 2 and BSI C5. This enables us to guarantee the secure and compliant operation of our AI solutions.
Our hosting options are complemented by clear data protection processes, such as the General Terms and Conditions (AVV), technical and organisational measures, and documented data processing and deletion policies.
To ensure your AI respects data sovereignty, you should look out for key criteria such as EU hosting, data sovereignty, data protection and transparency. Key factors include GDPR-compliant processing, clear security measures, on-premises options, control over one’s own data, and the ability to use one’s own LLM contracts or private models. In addition, certifications, SLAs, compliance requirements and regulatory frameworks such as the EU AI Regulation or DORA play an important role. We have summarised the key assessment criteria in an AI security checklist.
